Broche wagara - Hishi
Broche wagara - Hishi
A beautiful brooch with a traditional Japanese pattern and its unique meaning.
Hishi (菱) is a traditional wagara pattern based on a diamond shape or diamond shape. This geometric pattern is often repeated symmetrically and has its origins in natural elements, such as the shape of the water chestnut leaf (which the pattern was originally inspired by).
The hishi-shape symbolises strength, balance and stability. It is widely used in Japanese art, kimonos and textiles and can range from simple diamond shapes to more complex, overlapping designs.
